These projects support the social objective of reducing greenhouse gases while enabling the growth of human activity and related energy requirements.

  • The Beta Battery Airborne vehicles such as jets and vertical landing & take-off [VTOL] vehicles need better energy density than is provided by lithium ion batteries. The problem of long-term high-capacity storage is described in these articles:
  • Remediation of nuclear waste As society incorporates more solar and wind energy, there is an ongoing need for stable energy that is sustained in the absence of sun and wind, while also avoiding greenhouse gases. Nuclear seems ideal for this role. An ongoing problem to overcome is what to do with spent nuclear fuel. New nuclear reactors have become more efficient and more safe. Solving the problem of nuclear waste would support the ongoing use of nuclear generators.
